Tray and sleeve boxes are a famous design of packaging boxes that has many names. They are known as drawer boxes, match-style boxes, slider boxes, sleeve boxes, and sliders. These boxes have two parts: a tray storage compartment and a sliding lid called a sleeve. Their production requires two separate dies, one for sleeve and one for a tray. The sleeves are shipped in pop-up assembly (already assembled with tape), whereas the tray can be shipped flat or pre-assembled depending on the material. In case the trays are shipped flat, the taped corners can be assembled quickly.

These boxes are primarily known for their presentation aspect and their unique style of opening. This style has countless uses as retail packaging by cosmetics, FMCG, pharma, and various other industries. To pack multiple products in the same box or to pack fragile items, inserts like fence partitions are commonly used.

These boxes can be made from buxboard, cardstock, Kraft, corrugated, and Rigid material. There are many printing and finishing options you can select from depending on the materials options.
